UK employment market shows signs of recovery
09 September 2009
A survey of recruitment agencies, released today, reports that the number of candidates place into both permanent and temporary employment has increased in August.
This report represents the first increase in permanent staff placements since early 2007. The news has been widely welcomed as the first bit of good news in the UK job market for over a year.
It is too early to predict if this is signalling the end of the recession, but August and early September have already seen many positive indications. Some commentators are already saying that the signs are showing that we could see a quick recovery – a so called V shaped recession.
