House Prices Increase
30 July 2009
Online financial services journal ifa online has reported that the land registry has published data showing property prices across England and Wales have increased for the first time since January 2008.
As the Land Registry only records information about completed sales there is, necessarily, a time lag between the sale being agreed and the sale completing. Taking this time into account, this news would appear to support the recent lender reports of increasing property prices.
Could it be that this is yet another signal that we maybe nearing the end of the recession?
